About the Growth Guarantee Scheme
The Growth Guarantee Scheme helps UK businesses access the finance they need to grow, invest and manage cash flow, with government-backed support for lenders. The scheme is designed to help businesses secure funding for purposes such as working capital, expansion and equipment investment, even where security or trading history might otherwise be a barrier.
The scheme is administered by the British Business Bank. The government-backed guarantee is provided to the lender; the borrowing business remains fully responsible for repaying the finance.

Could my business be eligible?
Eligibility depends on the scheme requirements and the participating lender’s own assessment. General criteria include:
carrying out trading activity in the UK.
having a viable borrowing proposal.
being able to afford the repayments.
not being in relevant insolvency proceedings.
A lender will carry out its usual credit, fraud, affordability and identity checks before deciding whether to offer finance.
